2015 A4 - New owner, two small issues
 

Hi folks, I am new to the site and just last week purchased my first Audi.

It was a dealer unit and has approx 30,000km's on it after being on the road a year and a bit. No problem with that, drives like new.

I do however have two small issues...

1) The rear right caliper / rotor / pad makes a crazy squeeling noise when stopping at slow speeds

2) There is a small tear in the headliner in the back seat. I believe I will just have to replace the entire headliner.. but if anyone has ideas... I'm certainly open to them...

Hello, Congrats on your new purchase! I'm in a simular situation as I just bought my first A4 as well, although a 2010 but loving it just the same. Did you buy your Audi from an Audi dealership and have you asked your dealership about these issues? If you haven't spoken to them, I would start there. I purchased my car from an Audi dealer and it has 124000kms on it (so no warranty) and they are still working out a few things as I notice them. Your dealer may prove to be very accomodating if you ask them.

Your headliner won't be covered under warranty but they may replace it since you just purchased the car. I noticed a hole along the edge of the exterior drivers door B pillar trim last week in my car, mentioned it to my salesman and he said they will replace it so definitely go in a speak to your dealer about these issues you are having and if you purchased from an Audi dealer, I'm sure they will accomodate you... and if you didn't, hopefully they will still help you just the same.

As for your first issue with the brakes, might be just something stuck in there, small rock maybe. Try brake cleaner or removing the wheel and having a look but first I'd just get your dealer to check it for free.

Where did you purchase your Audi? Just purchased my 2013 A4 (CPO) couple months ago and there is a crazy squealing noise from my right rear as well, did you find a solution to this problem?
