2014 A4 replacing windshield

A rock chip, hidden under the wiper, turned into a massive crack at -20 degrees in Calgary. The dealership said a replacement would cost $1150. Does anyone know of a better option in Calgary?

Do you have comprehensive insurance that covers this? ICBC typically covers windshield damage with a $200 deductible.

My wife cracked her A6 2012 shield for the second time.
i never had a broken shield ever!!!

Stones can easily be thrown up my any passing vehicle - if it hits in the wrong location, there goes your windshield.

Here's my own reply: Cal-Alta Auto Glass, Calgary replaced the windshield for $405 plus tax plus donations to a food bank. Much better than the $1150 quoted by the dealership. Can't wait 'til next winter.....
