Default 2013 Audi A4 - slight vibration on the highway

Ever since I bought my car (4k km so far) it's had a slight vibration through the seats and steering wheel when driving on the highway. Only between about 100-120kmh. Below and above it is smooth. And its the type of vibration that you probably wouldn't notice on a quick ride (you'd blame the road probably), but its really annoying on a longer trip. I had the dealer balance the tires, and then I had it in again for 'road' balancing or something like that. But the problem is still there.

Did anyone have a similar issue?

Any help is appreciated

There are many different threads on said issue. I have been battling a 115 to 120 vibration for some time. Considering this is my typical "no ticket" cruising speed I find the vibration quite irritating. I am running the OEM Pirelli P6s and I've heard they may be the culprit. The dealer did a road force balance when the summers went on last spring however I've noticed the issue is back.

Check your tires/wheels

surprised that this far along they still haven't fixed the vibration issue. They promised that the early 2010s were the last of it.

Thanks for the replies - it's exactly like chelseaa4a said, always happens in the 'no cruising' hwy speed rang.

If it's the stock tires (mine are P7s), shouldn't the dealership know about this and replace them?

In any case it seems like the dealer doesn't know about the issue - they returned my car to me twice with the problem still being there

P7s are prone to flat spotting. In some cases Road Forc eBalancing cannot eliminate it. Get your dealer to replace them.

The stock wheels that these go on, are also soft... so.. they might not be round either. If the tires have been eliminated then the dealer should replace the wheels next.

Or it could be your suspension.

Or it could be your driveshaft.

...nightmare Audi Customer Service and product control coming back to haunt me

edit:

note that the final solution that cleaned up the remaining minor vibration is to pump the air up on the P7s by an additional 2-3psi all around. Makes your tires sound like basketballs bouncing, but hey the vibration is gone at least.
