2009 A4 Sedan or Avant?
 

Hi,

New to forum.
I've decide to buy an A4 over the Benz c300.
The only question now is Sedan or Avant?

What are your opinions??
- do they handle differently?
- fuel consumption?
- how often do you actually use the extra space in Avant (upper part of the trunk, above the cover)?
- or anything else.

I was in the same boat as you. I went from a 300E to an 08 A4 Avant, except mine was a easier decision, I needed the extra space. Having to haul tools/equipment for work and having a 65lbs+ dog made my decision for me.

When I went looking I took a sedan out first because they didn't have any avants in at the time and really enjoyed the car. I can't say that I've spent equal amounts of time test driving both before I took the Avant but I didn't notice a whole lot of difference between the two as far as driveability goes(can't really comment on fuel consumption)

I will say one thing though, if you want an Avant make sure you can live without having a manual. It was something it thought would be easy, but even after 6 months I'm finding I really miss it.
