2009 A4 front brake pads
Hi everyone,
I'm the newcomer for this forum. Hope I can learn something from you guys. Last week when I did the service at the dealership for my 2009 A4. They told my that the front brake pads only has 3MM left, and need to put new pair on. The cost will be $521+labour+tax. That's pretty expensive. If you guys can give me any advice I will be appreciated. :p |

Just pads or Rotors and Pads. I have been told by Audi that they always replace rotors and pads as a policy. If it's for Rotors and Pads, the price is decent..... If it's just Pads, it seems pricy to me.

Re: 2009 A4 front brake pads
i paid $220 for Hawks Pro Ceramic front with install and tax in. but my buddy works there for i got parts at cost and labor discounted when i had my 07 A4. break dust has been low so far and no squealing on the '12 A4 yet so i might hold off on doing it to this one.

I personally changed my entire system when I got my car Front - Hawk HPS Brake Pad Set Part number: HB641F.696 Rear - Hawk HPS Brake Pad Set Part number: HB642F.658 ZIMMERMANN Rear Brake Disc Part number: VWW046604 ZIMMERMANN Front Brake Disc Part number: VWW005064 Cost me about 850$ installed at a car tuning shop. After they broke in. AMAZING, highly recommended. The initial grip/bite isn't as strong as the OEMs but I prefer that and the deacceleration is more linear than the OEM. PLUS virtually no dust. |

^^ This is important.
I had aftermarket parts installed on my B7 and they were making a ton of noise. I took it to the dealer to inspect the issue, and the parts were not fitting properly. I had to replace both pads and rotors for $700 or so in order for them to operate properly. There is no issue getting the work done at a garage, just make sure they use genuine audi parts. |
Re: 2009 A4 front brake pads
I found a new place online.
I ended up getting ABT brakes from TGA parts They've been on for 2 weeks now and feel great. I've been easy on them for break-in to my discs but they work great, came w/ the sensor, I installed myself. Brake pad alert reset itself when I installed. Best part is I've yet to see any brake dust! R |
