Default Weird Service Interval Problem

Hey guys,

I have a weird service interval problem. My current mileage is 25800km, and the next service (as evident on my windshield sticker by the dealer) is 38000km. I have called and confirmed this.

However, the wrench said service in 300 km, and after reset, it wants to do it in 4400km...

I thought (and the book supports this), that service is every 15000km. / any ideas folks?

Thanks!

i know. its retarded. My car does it to me all the time. I drive 60k a year so needless to say im reseting the light all the time. Most of the services the dealership wants is air filter, oil change and spark plugs. You dont want to void your warrenty but you dont need to do all of that every 5k. I generaly do my oil around every 7000 and thats because im chipped and dont want to screw anything up.

dont follow the book, cuz it'll mess up your engine. Also every time you do an oil change, reset the oil service.

change oil every 5k like you would have to for every car. if you want to prolong your engine for an extend period life time. or follow the service manual and be expected to have a shorter lifespan on your engine.
