I took my car to the mechanic I have used before (brakes, oil changes, etc) to get my auto transmission flushed. He told me that I should be changing the fluid,
filter and pan w/ gasket. Price tag $500+. He said something like $68/liter for the fluid from Audi. Is this correct?

What have others paid for this service?

Thought I would follow up on my thread to let others know what I paid for the services I got done.

Where: Heinz Auto in Richmond
What: Automatic Transmission service
Cost: Transmission filter $108
Transmission pan gasket $71
Transmission fluid $342 (5 liters*$68 )
Labour $133

I thought the price for the fluid was high so I called Openroad Audi and they if I was to purchase it retail from them it would be $92/liter.

All in all it cost me more than I thought it would be but I am happy I got it done. First drive home after was smooth as butter. Hope this helps others in the future.

there are some genuine vs/audi trans fluids that are ~$44/litre, but I don't know what kind he used.

there is also a full kit that costs $500 so I think maybe it's legit? although they all come with 8 litres of fluid, not 5.... I wonder if you got enough?
