Strange Vibration at 80km/hr
Hi all,
I'm driving a 2006 A4 2.0T quattro and it has recently developed a super annoying quirk.
The car drives normally from 0 to 80km/hr, but between 80 and 85 km/hr the steering wheel starts to vibrate slightly, shaking from left to right. once I get over 85km/hr, the vibration disappears and everything is back to normal.
I realize this doesn't sound like a big deal, but the freeway I drive on regularly has an 80 km/hr speed limit so I actually spend a lot of time at this speed and the vibration is driving me nuts.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the cause may be?
Thanks in advance.

It really only takes a pot hole or two to mess up your balancing, the only other thing i can think of is alignment. Do you have uneven wear on your tires? When was the last time you rotated? And when you had your balancing, or whenever you took down the tires, did you retorque them after 100 kms?
