Squealing brakes - 2007 A4

Re: Squealing brakes - 2007 A4
I spray some wd40 on the rotors once a year. It is problem gone. The only thing is that I do not have good brakes untill I burn them by going 120 km/h and bringing the car to a rapid stop. It works for me.

Your problem comes from the brake pads as they are to hard for your rotors and they are better quality but they will make you go crazy with all that noise .
I had this problem on other cars and all they did was change the pads and problem was solved .

Something is wrong here. The guy buys a car with new brakes and rotors installed by the dealership. Months go by and still the squeeling doesn't stop. Then the dealership tells him that its normal. I would ask him if it was normal than I should be able to test drive every car in the lot and they would all squeel, new or used? Its not normal to put up with this for this long. Sure new brakes have a break in period but this long? Tell the dealer to fix the problem and if he doesn't threaten him with reporting him to Audi Canada, bad press, bad mouthing him amongst other audi enthusiasts.
Bottom line is the dealership should fix it now. I wouldn't care how they fixed it. Put on new brakes do whatever just fix it.
Demand it!!

Why shoud he have to spray or do anything? The brakes are new from the dealership.

I have an 07 S-Line 3.2 Titanium and it does the same thing, at very slow speeds under very very light brake pressure there is a high frequency resonation from the rotors. Doesn't seem to do it after hard driving, only when I'm just running around town.

Re: Squealing brakes - 2007 A4
mine had 15,000 when mine started... it only does it when its cold out. dealer said its normal and its due to high performance pads with high metallic content. i said does an Ferrari make that noise when it stops? lol
so what i did was change the front pads to ceramic Hawks performance pads. they are the same if not more stopping power that the stock ones were as well a lot less brake dust too! i only had to change the fronts, rear were fine.
maybe that is something you can consider.
