For some strange reason the rear left passenger door will not lock on my 06 avant. All other doors and the alarm system seem to be functioning as they should and the alarm sounds if the 'problem' door is opened after locking the car with the remote. When I activate the power locks either with the remote or from the driver's door switch I hear a clicking sound in the door in question....... Very strange.......the car's due for a service soon and the dealer has advised they will 'check' it out when I bring it in.....still under warranty which is a good thing however I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what the solution might be??....thanks in advance.

So today the door in question actually loced during the morning however by afternoon the problem had returned.......I did notice today however after the problem returned that the door lock 'actuator??'......seemed to cycling at random while driving??.......any ideas folks?? Thanks

My guess is your vacuum pump is going. I need a new one, but they cost too much money for me right now. $900 US to get a new one. So for now I have to manually lock the doors. SUPER FUN!

thanks audigirl.......ouch that's steep!......thankfully the car still has a month left on it's original waranty! It's off the shop Monday.......will post what the problem was when I get it back.
