Newbie Wanabie
Looking at purchasing a 2008 A4 quattro, 6,600k, so basically new, I took for a test drive and is awesome......what are you thoughts on these, I have read on other sites that they are prone to oil usage and front brake problems. You comments would be appreciated, thanks in advance. any other things to look for.

Re: Newbie Wanabie
I just bought one new (2.0t quattro SE s-line) and it is fantastic. A solid drive all around, the acceleration of the 4 cylinder is surprising actually and the tiptronic has been great though I only use it when bored. The only thing so far that I have found frustrating is the damn seat belt warning beeps and constant alerts...they can get really annoying however it is only a minor problem in the whole scheme of things. Some features that I found VERY useful and would be worthwhile considering (if the model you are looking at has them) are the adaptive lighting with xenon headlights, bluetooth integration for phone and folding side mirrors. All were features I really didn't care much for when purchasing the car but now after having them for over a month I find them extremely useful.
Hopefully that helps your purchase decision a bit

As for fuel milage, what are you getting?? My first tank hasn't been great. All city (stop-go) driving though and I am not sure if my dealer loaded it up with premium or regular. Looking like about 480km for the tank.

Re: Newbie Wanabie
I find the needle goes quicker with multiple short trips like to the grocery store and post office etc....I don't know if someone can confirm this but doesn't the car waste a lot of gas in starting of the engine frequently like that?
