Iphone + bluetooth ?

Re: Iphone + bluetooth ?
Yup. I had to turn off bluetooth first because it could not seem to find the audi headset. When I turned it back on it discovered the car's headset. Enter code "1234". That's pretty much it. BTW - this is the iphone 3G and 2007 A4 3.2.

Re: Iphone + bluetooth ?
I have the iPhone 3G. Set it up in both a 2008 TT and a 2007 RS4. Setup went fine for both cars. Have had no issues since.
BT needs to be set to "ON" on the iPhone. As dano99 suggested, try turning the BT off, then back on. Try resetting the phone as well (powering off.) If the BT is on and working it should read "Now Discoverable" at the bottom of the iPhone BT setup screeen.
During the "discovering" process your iPhone should display Audi UHV **** once it "sees" the car's BT handsfree. The pass code it will prompt you for is "1234".
Keep in mind, the BT unit in the car will only "look" for phones for the first 5 minutes after you have turned on the car. The car must be running. If you are past the 5 minute point you have to shut the engine off, remove the key, open and close the driver door, lock the car with the key, unlock the door with the key, open the door and restart the car.
If you are still having issues after trying these few tips I would try pairing the iPhone with other BT devices.
Good luck!
Tony

Re: Iphone + bluetooth ?
Thanks guys, got it working, I think it was a bit of both, turning BT off then back on on the iPhone and also probably the 5min thing.
The first time I tried, I turned the car on then messed around with getting the manual out and reading it, and by the time I got around to trying the iPhone it had probably passed the 5min.
Works great, thanks again.

Re: Iphone + bluetooth ?
I am a bluetooth and Audi A4 2008 newbie.
I paired my phone. Then I hit the speaker phone symbol on the steering wheel and the robo voice prompted me to speak a number, which I did and "she" dialed it. Fine. But I don't know how to disconnect a call or if there is a way to dial the call without the speaker prompts. Also, is it possible to put my phone address book into the car memory?

As mentioned above, most address books automatically import but it is dependent on your phone. An older phone may not be as compatible or share as many functions with the Bluetooth phone preparation in your car.
Here's a couple handy links that shows compatibility will some of the more modern phones:

Re: Iphone + bluetooth ?
my guess is something happened to your pairing info on your phone(corrupted).
within the bluetooth menu click on the -> beside the audi unit and at the top click forget this device.
redo the pairing.

Re: Iphone + bluetooth ?
I have 06 A4 and currently use a Blackberry - the BT works extremely well and is automatic when I get in the car. It hasn't been said, but I am assuming that once the initial pairing is done that the iPhone connects automatically each time thereafter. I have one on order now.
