I just brought mine it. I'm lucky to have 1move in my city so he came and did my VAG-Com stuff. We had an issue with the DRLs... I have a pushbutton/dial to activate the DRLs right beside my Light switch. Hope they will pass that.
Anyone been refused without the french stickers?? I'm in Calgary.
Anyone know where one can get the accent trim somewhere cheap?? I have some dings in my silver ones.. Was thinking of the wood.. call me crazy.
Anyone here chipped their cars?? How's the Gas millage?? My buddy says it will be better.. I'm not too convinced.

My buddy told my I'd get better gas mileage with a chip too, his reasoning is that you require less throttle for the same performance. Knowing me though, with more power at my disposable, I'd likely push the car harder nulling any fuel efficiency benefits...

His logic was that the fuel mixture would be finely tuned via the ECU which is getting you all that boost anyhow. Of course a heavy foot negates anygains one can add to their cars!lol

I am looking at a 2004 A4, besides the DRL issue are there any other modifications needed? I was told that it may require child tether staps??? Also I have heard that when you pay the customs and canadian taxes you pay on the current Canadian book value of the vehicle not the actual US purchase price....is there any truth to this?

I paid my GST and Duty based on what I paid for the car which was below Black book.
I to wonder about the "child tether" stuff as I have some lil badging on the backrest of the rear seats that have the baby logo on it. I reached undernear and behind and found some metal loops for what i assume mounting child carrier.
French labels still elude me however.. Any one know where to get them>> or can I just get one of you to snap a pic then print a sticker at work>??

I live in Ottawa which is a bilingual area and did not have any issues with the car not having any French labels at all. My car was imported from California.
