No. Only the FWD has a CVT transmission. The Quattro has a tiptronic transmission (or a manual transmission, depending on your choice).

Hey Swsherif, Audi is not well reputable enough for a good CVT transmission, Nissan does, but if you are not a Stick man than i'll advise you to go with the automatic with tiptronic transmission.

I would suggest that you test drive both a FWD and Quattro before making your choice. I have a Quattro, and I once drove a FWD and found that the handling was very different. I prefer the Quattro. Unfortunaletly the Quattro consumes more fuel than the FWD. However, if you live where there is a 'real' winter, you will appreciate the Quattro.

I agree with both of you guys I have tones of snow on my drive way , Quarto will be definitely the way to go , I am going To NJ next week to pay down payment on 2006 2.0T Quarto, I drove It couple weeks ago and I loved it , I used to drive domestic my last car was grandprix , it’s beautiful car as well, the A4 will be downsize for me but I guess I will have the same horsepower from the quarto, the only thing I am worry about is the cost of maintenance for the Audi , but the car will be certified so I am assuming that I can drive it for few years with now troubles. Thanks every body for the recommendations. Wish me luck

I hope the import process goes smoothly. Please let us know how everything worked out. I bought a 2007 A4 Quattro a couple of months ago here in Canada. I was a bit weary about importing from the US. But from the messages on this web site, it seems quite common.

I was able to get all the answers for my questions I just knew recently that the us border will no longer accept that you fax them the title any more you will have to give them the original personally or by carrier, I posted that already in a different thread. I will go through the all thing and I will tell you guys every thing step by step once I have the car in Ontario. Got a question for you though do you mind give me an idea how much did you pay for your 2007 A4.just to get a guide line when I go and shop in NJ,
Thanks to all of you guys

I paid roughly 41,500$ (all taxes, licence, etc.... included and including AudiCare service contract). This also includes a trade-in of approx. 3000$. The car was a leftover (with a few thousand of km on the odometer) since the 2008 models were already out. Please let us know how much you saved by importing (after taking into account all of the costs related to the process).

As I promised I will put some numbers and step by step as a guide for every one, I am not going for 2007 though it’s too expensive for me, but I am going for 2006 quarto with the sunroof and leather option that’s a all I need , I will let every body know by next week.

Do you love your the leblanfn? Let me know bud

Good luck and happy new year for every one
