essentially reworks engine component management. So with a chip you can gain good amount of torque and HP. Its cheapest mod yo can do with the biggest return.

Several people who have the same car have gone through this so I am sure you will get plenty of info. H2 motorsport in Georgetown is one place to go however there are others out there. For sure chipping (tuning) is probably the best first mod to undertake. Like most mods doing one thing will effect other aspects. Chipping you will see an improvement however exhaust along with chipping makes the chipping even better and so on.

Good luck and let us know what you do in the end.

APR, REVO, GIAC, Unitronic are a few names you may search. You can find lots of info as well as local dealers by going to their websites.

Yup check out what gives you what kind of performance and the power curves and pick out what you like. H2sport do APR. I second that place nice guys and always give you good advice on the upgrades and always in depth.
For b5 APR is waht i like, but for your car, do the research, you might get better performance and curve with other company.

There's only one thing about chipping, Just Do It. You'll love it. Makes the car alot better to drive. Don't know about a b7, but in my b5 i get better gas mileage after chipping so it pays for itself.

I can vouch for H2Sport in Georgetown as well.
I got my APR fully loaded ECU from them and couldn't be happier with the service and results.
I think I'll be going back there for my exhaust work once my Audi Care is done after 100,000 kms.

If your '06 is under extended warranty, I wouldn't chip it just yet. Audi Canada won't cover any components affected by the chip.

But if you do go with APR you can always return it to stock tune and lockout the code switching. It is my understanding that the dealership's scan tools cannot detect a modded ECU if it's in stock tune and locked out from switching.
