Default brake light occasionally comes on flashs beeps then stops

i have an 07 cabriolet 2.0t quattro sL.
occasionally my brake light (o) will come on and beep for a couple seconds then go out. it happens maybe once a day and not everytime i drive her. i checked the fluid and its in normal range. can anyone give me an idea what it might be. when i run the diagnostic test at start up everything is ok.

Same probably, mine occurs usually when it sits over night or for a longer period of time. No idea why but its nothing major ( as long as the OK comes up when you start) or your computer would say something.

Driving with park brake on?

Edit: I should clarify, I don't mean you haven't put the handle down before driving away. I mean that perhaps it's not disengaging entirely for some reason.

The same has happened to be a few times, although not in the past few months (it will probably happen now).

It would happen randomly while driving down the road. But then it would go away after a few "shut offs".

Must be an undocumented feature.

It happened to me too. I check my brake pads and found out the front pads need replacing. Theres a sensor in the pads, not sure if that cause the alarm but since I change the brake pads it hasn't come in.

i believe u get a pad light on the LED indicator if the pads need replacing... in my case, the flashing parking brake was the brake fluid.. just needs a top up... i think that is the usual case for it from what I've looked up.
