To fix this, go to Navigation, Setup and click on "In-car Entertainment Fader"
Then adjust the volume to whatever level you want it when you put your car in reverse
That should work!

Here are some shots of the interface.
nav > setup (pg1)

I can adjust the sound volumes for many things (except for the radio/entertainment volume when reversing) under the setup > sound setting:
None of the options above have any effect on music volume when reversing.
