Default Audi a4 2006 for 12,000 too good to be true?

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum and don't know too much about cars but I've been slowly doing my research on audi a4's. I recently decided that I want to buy an audi a4 2006. I found this add on autotrader, but it looks too good to be true. Any thoughst?

ww.autotrader.ca/result/detailinfo.aspx?ID=1942571&srcid=5737004&source=27 &pgno=12&srt=70&CompanyID=ON20071022105703483&r=on tario]AUDI A4 in NORTH YORK, ontario - AutoTrader

the car only has 90,000 k on it and comes with a 4 year warranty.

When I buy a used audi what should i look for? i've heard i shuold stay away from any audi thats older then 2005.

Like any used car, you need to inspect it (or have it inspected) prior to purchase. Some known issues that come up with age are prevalent in any kind of car. Also, some individual cars within a model can be problematic, and some never have more than usual wear and tear issues. Blanket statements like the one above are just wrong.

Having said that, it seems like a very low price. As they say, if something appears too good to be true.....

It does sound to low, all others are 18-26, just returned my 2006 w/86K after a 3 year lease. Residual was low 20's. Granted,it was a Quattro, this one appears to be front-trak.

If you know a very good garage or someone at a Audi dealer, you might ask to get it checked out.

did you buy it?

I am curious..I am looking at a 2006 Front Trak . It has 45,000 kms ..drives quite well and all appears to be in order when checking service records. It is being offered by an Audi dealer at 20898.

Any comments or opinions?

Thanks!

a 2006 FWD for 21000 seems alittle high. If your not going to buy an AWD audi, i would suggest going to look at a lexus or something. i bought a 2004 2.5 years ago for 16000 thats AWD and only had 45k on it. i dont know what your timming is on buying one but i would suggest you keep searching.

look on autotrader and kijiji for deals.

uptown audi(i know people dont like them) but they have a 2006 2.0TQ with 45 for the same amount as what you are looking to pay and it comes withsnow tires and audi care.

Hope that helps!

Hi Thanks for your post.
Actually the car you are referring to is the one that I was looking at. It is at Audi Uptown and it is advertised as a Quattro, however it is a Frontrak with 45kms. Must be a misprint....

In any case it is a FWD asking 20898 with snows or audi care. Assuming
I can negotiate , I would hopefully get it out the door at a similiar price to a brand new honda civic

But after reading about the CVT, It scared me off. Seems many people have wished they never owned a Audi CVT
