Default Any of you old Subaru Owner?

I presently own a Forester XT. I loved the power of it, I loved the fun the awd gave me in winter but, I found the confort sad. I purchased a A4 3.2 (should get it next week) when I test drove it, I missed my Subaru. The A4 I tested had 4 season tires compared to my Hakka2, this might be one of the problem. The sales person did not want me to stop the electronic system, so as soon as it was slipping a bit the engein would die. I try to reason myself saying that tha A4 is mutch more luxurious inside and that I am getting older so do not need to slip ans slide to have fun but.....

Any of you can tell me if they are ex owners of Subaru and dont regret the controled slip and slide fun factor?

P.S. I am the type that gets up in the midel of the night of a snow storm to ride when almost no one are in the roads.

You will like the Audi, thats all I gotta say the ESP can be easilly turned off and have all the slidding power you need. the 3.2 is a very reliable engine and is very well built. I thought I could not ever do a doughnut again in the snow when I bought a quattro but boy was I wrong. Check out youtube and type in a4 snow and look at some of the videos. Enjoy your new Audi

Congrads!
With ESP off, you will have plenty of slip and slide fun.

P.S. I also get up at 2:00 am the night of a snow storm to make power slides in empty shopping centers parking lots.

i just picked up a 2002 A4 wagon after trading in my 2002 WRX, and I'm thrilled with the upgrade on the interior.

Mine's a 1.8T Tiptronic, so it's taking a little adjustment to the shift times and reduction in power, but i'm happy with it so far.

should be interesting to see how it performs in the fluffy stuff...

For me to the interior upgrade was a major part of my desison. I know the clearance is higher on my FXT so me to am verry currious to see how it will go in a bit more snow

No worries, you can basically plow out of parking lots even if the snow is very high like it was a few times this year.

Plenty of struggling going on even on the main streets that were trafficked frequently and meanwhile I was looking for residential streets and parking lots that were worse. One person was snowed in at school and I had to give them a ride home. Quattro FTW.

yes they are very much fun in the snow, but get ready for rear bearing replacement once your donut session is finished.

Do you know why it would be harder on Audi bearings then the Subaru? My fun is not to donut, it is more drifting that I enjoy.
