Default 2007 audi a4 quattro

wondering how to fix a rough idle on my 2007 audi a4 quattro its automatic.
the roughness is stronger when in gear i.e drive. at a stand still while driving ok
i had the car for about two weeks and i thought it might be from sitting i filled the tank with 91 octane and used a injector cleaner. im driving the car now thinking it might just need to be driven.

thanks nick

Its a 2.0T. I changed my oil today with the recommened oil and filter. Would a crankcase vent valve cause this and if so is it a known concern for the B7.

Normal. Both my GF's and bro's cars (B7 2.0's) have the same "issue"

Its normal for 2.0T engine produce some vibration, especially on the gear and at winter time when temperature is below zero. U can feel that on the wheel steering. On 2.0t PCV system is much better then 1.8T but still not as good as should be.

Apparently it is normal for a 2007 Audi A4... I was told this both by the Audi Dealership (Audi Mississauga) and the experts at Independent Tuning... my whole drivers' seat vibrates at times... if it was a hotel bed, it would be asking me for quarters...

Hey Nick,

Just curious, when you experience the roughness do you see the REVs going up or does it remain idle.

If the REVs are going up when you experience the roughness then it could be the coil pack.

My 1.8T B5 rough a little when starting on a cold day or in gear, but after driving for a bit and the engine is nice and warm it calms down to point I don't even hear the engine in park or idling

If I am wrong here, please correct me.

lol thats a good one. it actually sounds like yours is worse than mine. i was told to tweak the idle and do an injector flush but if the car came like this from factory i dont really want to fidle with the idle. try and injector flush on yours and tell me how it goes. i did mine and its a lil better. still their though.
