It is a misconception that when you do upgrades to a vehicle you raise it's resale value, which the truth is the exact opposite. What you end up doing is investing money into your vehicle and you get zero return on your investment. So enjoy your vehicle with your modifications if you plan to keep it long term. Anyone with automotive sales experience will tell you that. Bone stock cars have the highest resale value. The minute someone sees upgrades they think the vehicle has been operated beyond it's normal capabilities and the upgrades may have been done incorrectly. It's almost the same as if a vehicle has been in an accident. The repair work may have been done professionally at a shop that is more than capable but it's the thought that the vehicle has been damaged that affects it's resale.

As mentioned there are quite a number of reputable companies that build exhaust packages for the 2.0T motor. Everything from downpipes to complete exhausts. Look for a cat-back first, don't simply replace your muffler. The upgrade has to be done with a long term outlook. Also consider tuning. Stasis has a package that includes a cat-back exhaust with an ECU tune to match. They have had many positive reviews. APR is also another reputable tuner that has a either a full exhaust upgrade or a cat-back. Their exhausts do not require an ECU tune but you should get one to see the full potential of the exhaust. MTM is one of the leaders in aftermarket Audi upgrades but their products cost a left nut. I can't really comment on MTM products as very few owners ever choose them but their results are almost always very positive.

Hope things work out for you with your exhaust. Keep us posted.

Ill probably keep the car for as long as I can, unless I have to pay some crazy amount to repair something on it. If anything I'm gonna get the AWE catback , does anyone know if you can take the AWE exhaust off and re install the stock one if I wanted to re sell it? I can't make the meet coming up but I'll hopefully be at the one after and I'll look at what other people have. Thanks again for the help.

I went with APR HFC then into APR full exhaust 2.5" all way back into 3" tips and the full unit is polished stainless steel. prob paid around 1400-1500 for everything including shipping, tax and install.

If you check AWE's website it shows that their exhausts are full bolt on with no welding required. That means you can do it easily without the need for a MIG welder.
