So my car was getting crappier mileage than usualy, usually about 10L/100km avg, and now around 13-14L/100km then got a CEL three nights ago - Scanned last night and threw codes p2006 and p2007 which are to do with the vac system, or intake manifold flaps

was hoping someone had some insight on fixing this - or have the workshop guides?

anyone else tried to fix the problem? my dad seems confident in finding the leak this weekend, but he won't tell me his secret on how?

any suggestions

Ok, I found the cracked hose.... it looks like the clip that holds the hose is also broken (should be attached to the dipstick funnel) - going through alldatadiy diagrams to determine if just the one piece can be replaced and how - the hose runs under the larger rad hoses from the coolant tank

for now we have used a high temp resistant silicone tubing connecting the two ends for a temporary fix. cleared the codes, and no more errors/CEL good solution for now! my dad is going to order a hose from his work on monday (works aftermarket parts) and gets a discount from audi as well

just in case anyone ends up with a similar problem, audi no longer sells individual parts to the vac system, now you have to buy a larger kit which runs around $120 - vs $4-12 per section that you would normally purchase.

so we are getting a mercedes van hose and replacing the broken section - don't care if it doesn't run the exact same path - no reason why that hose should run so close to the intake manifold/engine where is gets overheated
