Wheels / Rims

Hello all,

I need to buy some new summer rims and tires for my b7 a4. I have the premium pack for what that's worth but am just looking for general advice on what to run and how big, if I should have an offset etc.

Also, I wouldn't mind finding a good deal....

Beyond that and the most tricky, my color is Liquid Blue so ideas on what will work would be appreciated... as of now I am thinking smoke colored rims..such as
Sparco Pista Light Grey Painted

Thanks.

Re: Wheels / Rims

I'd go with an 18" rim with a 235.40.18 tire. That's the size I'm running for the summer, it looks nice and the ride is no overly punishing. If you have the budget for it I'd get BBS CH rims.

Ive had my 2002 a4 for about three weeks now it came with 19" rims with 255/35 and 225/35's on it. They fill up the wheel wells nicely and being from alberta which has crappy roads i dont think there too bad. I just put vredestien tires on it awesome is all i can say about that tire!!!:D

Just wondering whether you have a front wheel drive, mate? You've got two different sizes tires on same size rims...

Re: Wheels / Rims

If budget allows, go with a light weight wheel. Shaving weight will provide an improved ride as well as better handling and accelleration. On my S4 Avant I upgraded my 18 OEM wheels to 19" forged Volks and the 10 lbs saved per corner was quite noticeable ! The wheel offset to consider should be based on the wheel width and ride height but an 18 x 8 with ET in the low 30's should look good and not rub with 235 tires ... Perhaps this link will help: Wheel and tire size comparer

i i have the same car diff color. i just ordered mine yesterday. 19" 8.5" wide 5x112 2pc davin ds3. MHT Wheels Inc.

thats where i went through with my buddies shop discount. and they are still not very cheap! lol they are 4500 with middle of the line summer rubber, tpms, hardware and shipping! reg price would be 6000. not for everyone. take a look at their site they have some of the foose single piece that are 2500-3000 with decent rubber and shipping. or if you are in bc you can pickup.

The total dia. For those tires are very close so there is no issues with being not the same size.
