Tire size for B7

Hey everyone, summer is fast approaching and I'm shopping for tires. I bought used 18" TSWs at end of last year with no tires. Need to know if I have to stick with 235/40/18 or can i go with a higher profile of 235/45/18? Want to make sure I'll have enough clearance in the wheel well. Reason I'm asking is that i dont want to lower my car but want to have less of a gap.

Best to stick with the OEM diameter. No idea of the specs on your wheels but here's a link to some help ... Wheel / tire size calculator / comparer

thanks for link. Any advice on a testpipe? I want a deeper sound without moding too much.

Aside from testpipes being bad for the environment, I'd suggest you do some research on exhausts. Perhaps you can find a used one that you like the sound of. That said, some aftermarket exhausts are know to drone at lower RPM. You could try an aftermarket downpipe mated to the stock exhaust as that would definitely change the sound (did this on my Mazdaspeed Miata). On my B6 A4, I added an MTM high flow cat/ relocated down pipe which opened up the sound of my once very subdued Milltek.

Good luck !
