Read some different things A4 QUESTIONS?????
 

Hi guys. I'm new to the site. I dont own an Audi Currently but tommorow i am going to look at an AUDI A4. Its a 2006 FWD. I read briefly on here that the CVT Transmission was garbage???? i was under the impression that CVT transmissions were good in cars for the smoother shifting etc. I also read that the engines are different in the AWD and the FWD? Is the engine in the FWD really garbage? does it cause alot of problems??? I dont need the AWD so i was just thinking it would be cheaper to go with FWD...i was going to go back to the audi dealership tomorrow to take a second look at it (Uptown Audi - Markham On.)
What should i ask the guy and what is important to know.

Just remember he is a sales man and he will do anything pretty much to sell you the car. So whatever we say its going to be wrong. I would suggest going to see Alex Frates if he is in your town, as he is pretty much one of the very honest guys on here. His nickname is afrates I think... Anyways I would just stay away from the CVT tranny

I suggest you spend a bit more and get a quattro, preferably manual, but tip will do as well.

skip the fwd cvt tranny....

You will appreciate and love your car that much more manual or tip with quattro even if you have no need for it. Spend the extra money if you can.

If you're going to buy a FWD A4, save some money and buy a jetta.
