New to the forum and have never owned an Audi before, but came across this 08 A4 Avant S-line. Clean black book here is $26,900 so keeping in mind it needs under $1000 in repairs, $26,000 a decent offer? Just wanted to get some thoughts on it. Thanks.

 

If it is a S-Line, that's not a bed deal.

But, from the look of the wheels, they appear to be 17". The 08 B7 S-line came with 18" wheels.
Check out the steering wheel. Is a 3 spoke, multi-function wheel with the S-Line emblem at the bottom? Some 08 models came with some of the S-Line dress-up parts but without the sports suspension, 3 spoke wheel, 18" wheels and tires etc.

Check out the photos and you can plainly see that it has the 4 spoke non S-Line steering wheel. This is not a genuine S-Line.

 

It is an sline and it isn't. We had a model in '08 that we called "progressive" that had the look of the sline, but not the 18" 5-spoke wheels nor the sports suspension.
Regardless, the price seems to be ok. But you could get something similar at a dealer with CPO warranty. How may kms are on it?

 

Another clue:

If it's a proper S-Line and it's an automatic (Tip) it will have paddle shifters.
It will also have a power passenger seat.

 

Hey guys, thanks for the input. I havent had a chance to see it yet because I'm out of town working. The owner sent me some pictures of the damage to the rear bumper and it is minor. It has 60,000km so 2 years and 20K left on the warranty.
I'll look for the steering wheel features and if it has 18's or not. Cheers, Craig
