why is it that in canada the MSRP for 2008 A4 2.0 quattro is about $10,000 more than the Audi America MSRP? Is the car 1/3 better?

Frankly, like many others, I'm tired of being ripped off. I'll buy my next new Audi in Seattle. I suspect that I'm not alone. The exchange rate has simply turned a bright light on the predatory pricing engaged in for years by Audi Canada.

This is basically true of all cars and technology also.
When you buy from the states, you have to jump through a few hoops to get the car to Canada however you can end up saving money.

Good luck in your search.

My good friend is actually purchasing from the US and as long as the vehicle is built in US, Canada or Mexico then you dont have to pay duties on it. Our government needs to fix this ASAP b/c we would be in trouble otherwise b/c with our dollar being at par with theirs all the shopping will be done outside of canada and that will hurt out economy in my eyes.

Also who wouldnt purchase a vehicle for 10K less sometimes even more, and at times there is very little you need to do to transfer it over just find yourself a car dealer friend and drive it over with dealer plates

to much hassle, inspections, let the dealer deal with that and pay 1000 extra to him.
