I have a burnt out DRL on the drivers side of my 2007 A4. I have removed two screws. One from the top middle and one from the rad side. The assembly appears to almost be ready to slide out but it seems to be stuck on the fender side. Is there a tab or screw or something that needs to be released to get it off and where is it?

 

I'm not sure how much you've looked, but this is what I think you are asking, first screw is in the hole on the fender side...

This is a "fancy" A4 with HID lamps. There isn't any obvious fastener on the fender side, though there are two holes in the fender where it might be. One is square and one is round but neither has a screw in it.

Not sure if the youtube link is supposed to show anything but all I found was a bunch of cheeesey videos of bands from the 80's.

Any other thoughts out there?

 

After a bunch of searching, I found this link and it looks just about right as far as the procedure goes for an A4 Avant with the 3.2 V6 and projector lamps.

Also has a handy tip if your lenses are prone to condensation. My drivers side lens has a dead spider in it.......
