Hood release issue please help

Hood release issue please help
I have a 2008 Audi A4, and I believe that the hood release detached somewhere inside the hood. I tried to to go thru the bottom but the space is far to small. Does anyone have an idea on how to release the hood without cutting the hinge? please anyone who has an answer
