Best tires for summer

Ok ..got a 08 A4 sline and need summer tires. 235 40r18. What's out there that wont break the bank but will perform well. Got a line on some conti extreme contact sports for $799 OTD. I dont necessarly need a super sport tire that wears real fast BUT I dont put a lot of km,s on the car...not really interested in a all season tire either....
