Audi A4 fog light change.

I was looking at getting the LED strip fog lights for my A4. the only problem is getting a new grille for them. ill attach a picture to better explain what i'm trying to say. These lights and grille come off the S6 if that helps anything , thanks.

LED fogs are the way to go. I think it's horrible that so many other manufacturers are copying Audi though. I see Porsche, Mercedes and even Toyotas that come with factory LED fog lights.

I've been running LEDs for foglights on my A6 for over three years now. I use 5050 SMD tubes that are 20cm long. They're not nearly as bright as the H3 halogen projectors but they look fantastic.

@LR Audi I'll look into that thanks. Another thing, the installation, is it easy enough to install or is there some one you would refer ?

Hi Guys,

This is a very cool Mod, I wouldn't mind running this on my B7 S-Line. Any suggestions as to products to look into? I'm in Toronto Ontario

Hey BGreen, the mod itself looks like alot of body work to get those lights mounted properly. The DIY I saw (sorry i lost the link :() looks like a big pain in the butt as you need to remove the bumper and cut the s-line fog light grills..

Know a workaround?

Yeah i know what you mean... i've seen a few DIY's and dont plan on doing it my self. I was going to ask a few Audi mechanics around if they knew anything about this. I still need to find the proper grille / vent for the front bumpers.

Re: Audi A4 fog light change.

Wow. Interesting responses...

My LEDs aren't technically as bright as the E-Code OEM units but they are more than bright enough to allow me to be seen from a good distance. I paid $40 for the pair. Not $400. But what you pay is your business. I can't gauge another person's expertise, but this modification took me 5 minutes per side. Keep in mind i have an automotive background so installing foglights is next to nothing for me. It takes me longer to chance the oil on my 2.0T than to upgrade foglights.

By the way, there are aftermarket kits available that include the grille, LED foglights and associated wiring all packaged in one. It's basically a kit for dummies, but it doesn't have the same quality as the OEM units.
