APR Upgrade?
So I made the plunge yesterday and bought a 2008 Audi A4 2.0T (Black on Black) with 42,000 km on it for $26,000 + tax from an Audi dealer so I was able to get an extended warranty with it. I want to add a APR ECU upgrade to it because I like SPEED :D. However I am worried that if I do so it will affect my warranty. I was wondering if anybody out here can tell me if the dealers can notice or care if there is a ECU modification on it and if there is a way of making appear stock when I take it in for servicing. I wouldn't be planning on doing anything else to the car (no exhaust, no intake etc just the ECU)
Thanks your the advice Chris |
Re: APR Upgrade?
Yes, APR gives you the option to switch back to 'Stock' mode using the Cruise Control stalk, if you buy the fully loaded ECU which is on sale right now. Congrats on the car. Post some pics.

Re: APR Upgrade?
I'va had all my Audi chipped as soon as i got them. Dealer never noticed (nor does he cares i think).
I've blowned my transmission under warranty on my 2004 A6 2.7T about 4 years ago. The car was at the dealer for a week and i was scarred stiff that they would find out the car was chipped and put the blame on me. But no, not a word. Rumour has it that Audi itself will start offering chips for their cars. My sales rep at my dealership told me that. |
