I say get manual. Auto is just a waste of a car in my opinion.
so your saying instead of getting quattro you'd rather get fwd cvt tranny.....?

go to a 04 or 05 and get a ultrasport if you can find one. There is no stock b7 that could ever look better then a stock b6 ultrasport imo.

Personnally, if I really needed to buy a car now, give up the manual over the quattro.

I've had fwd, and despite the fun of a MKV GTI, I HATED the fwd, it was the achillies heel of the car. (it was DSG btw).

That said, I enjoy my 5-spd in my A4, but there are days/times when stick isn't that much fun.

And IMO, buying a FWD Audi is just... wrong. It'd be like buying a fwd BMW (mini doesn't count ), lol.

If you can hold out the car you want will come along... Mine did.

x2, the whole point of Audi IS the AWD and there aren't very many times a manual sucks. The car does enough on it's own. I wanna be part of the driving experience too lol.

All or nothing!

Not necessarily the FWD... I would say the CVT tranny is the limitation.
It depends very much on everybody's driving habits (!)

I think he's saying he'd buy only a manual tranny even if it means giving up AWD.
