Default A4 - Hard to start at first try...

Hey guys,
For some reason, it was hard to start my A4 on the first try this afternoon. The car was sitting for only about an hour. The engine would krank...and krank, but nothing. On the second try, it started without any problem at all. I tried again and, on the third try...again, No Problem.

This happened just once before....back in the winter when it was like minus -30.
just on the first try....then it was fine.

It hasn't happened since, until today.

No check engine light.

Anyone else experience something like this? Any idea? Could it simply be the battery is losing some of it's charge, or could it be something else?

Model: 2007 A4 2.0T S-line. About 70K km.

what do you think?

Thanks guys.

sounds fuel related. line, filter, pump, injectors, rails...seems like something's not co-operating. That's a guess from a non-mechanic.
