I am deciding on buying a car but i am unsure of which to buy. An 2007 a6 or 08 A4. Both beautiful cars but in general which is better?

Also what can you do to MOD the looks to whichever one it better? Pictures would be great

 

i would think there are more mods for the A4 2.0 than the A6. depends i guess if you want more room and a relaxing drive with more space in the A6 or you want to mod the a4 for some performance but then lose the space. for me i don't often have anyone is the back of my car besides my daughter so A4 was good for me.

 

What kind of mods are you aiming for?...performance or are you slow and low?

Performance go for the 2.0T a4 over the 3.2 a6, one ECU tune and you're already as quick if not quicker, not to mention turbo's, intakes, are all readily available and more economical on the 2.0T

Slow and low both cars look great but the a6 definitely is better suited IMO more space for the family and is quite the cruiser around town, mod wise I don't know to much about the a6, I only can confirm the a4 2.0t has a larger market.

 

I completely agree with vusum. If you are planning to mod your car, there are much more options for the A4 especially with the 2.0T. You can actually make it a rather quick little car. I have a 2.0T GTI with stage 2 APR and other supporting engine mods and its very quick and still very good on fuel. You would have to spend much more money on the motor of an A6 to surpass a tuned 2.0T. Comfort and cruising wise the A6 is much better, the longer wheelbase makes for a much smoother ride and much more leg room in the rear. It all comes down to your own personal preference and your ultimate end goal with the car
