'07 A4 2.0T Auto Real World Fuel Economy?

Wondering about the real world fuel economy of your typical A4 2.0T auto Quattro. I'm seriously considering an '07 as a first Audi purchase.

Thank-you,

Mine is manual but I get on avarage 580kms per tank. If I keep the speed under 120kms/hr and dont accelerate hard I can for sure get 680kms

I drive almost all highway

Number of KMs per tank is not that useful a metric considering the gas tank size is not even the same for all A4 models (Quattro versus Fronttrak), plus the OP may not know the capacity of the gas tanks when comparing to other vehicles.

Having said that, I have an '06 Quattro with manual tranny and drive mostly city (probably 75%, and higher in winter). I don't drive aggressively. I keep a detailed log book and my fuel economy ranges from an average of about 9.0 to 9.5 L/100km in summer to about 10.5 to 11.0 L/100km in winter. The car's computer is usually about 1.0 L/100km below the actual economy.

On roadtrips (100% highway) I've gotten actual economy as low as 6.5 to 7.0 L/100km.

FYI - you can use VCDS to compensate for the error in the cluster display so that the reading is closer to the actual consumption - adaptation channel 3 in the cluster module (#17).

My 2.0T Avant is also manual/quattro and I get around 10l/100km for mixed highway/city driving. Highway only that can improve to 8.5-9.0l/100km depending on how careful I am with the gas pedal ;)

My 2.0T Avant is a 6-Speed Tiptronic and obviously has Quattro. I get around 12L/100km and that's with all highway driving with speeds of about 130km/h. I also always drive with the vehicle is Sport Mode.

550 in winter it seems and 600-650 in summer. 8-9/100L

Also another thing that greatly affects fuel economy is tire pressure. I keep my tires at 42psi all around.

6spd manual and mostly hwy, I get around 8L/100km...which equates to 680km/tank..Pretty darn good for a Quattro. B

I have a 2006 A4 quattro, 2.0T w/auto trans. Driving to and from work in rush hour, never breaking 60km/hr, I will get 500km to a tank. That goes up to ~650-700km if I do a lot of highway driving for some reason.

Dont be afraid of the V6 3.2 if you do a lot of hwy as they are pretty close. City driving will suffer over the 2.0 L though. Trade off is that a used 2.0 will require the BELTS at some point whereas the V6 will not. Something to think about for your purchase..B

It's usually between 10 and 12L/100km for me, but then most of my driving is stop-and-go city commuting so that's probably not a good indicator. Also I have a bit of a lead foot, which doesn't help. I have a 2006 A4 Quattro manual.

06 A4 S-line auto trans and cruise control.
Winnipeg to Calgary with a tailwind at 120 KM got 6.9 L/100Kms on the Driver Info Centre.
Calgary to Winnipeg against the wind at 120KM got 7.7 L/100 Kms.
City non rush hour I get in the 9's.

'07 Avant S-line, 6 speed manual. I average 9.8L/100km driving very "spirited" in mixed environment of 50/50 highway and city.

Haven't taken it yet on a pure highway situation but wife has taken it once on a long trip and it seems to get down to 7ish/100km.

Thinking of getting a stage 1 Unitronic tune. Anyone done that here and notice what affect it has on fuel economy?

Living in Quebec province in Canada and get the same kind of fuel consumption with a '08 Quattro. Pretty good I should say...
