Audi's slowly been dropping "extras" from their vehicles over the last few years...

Just bought a CPO 2005 B6 3.0 Quattro 6MTQS - doesn't have the battery cover.

My 2008 B7 2.0T Avant doesn't have the battery cover, first aid kit or warning triangle.

YMMV.

K you got me lol very odd as the price of these cars has gone up and they dont even include basic things like that. Still its for sure avialiable at the dealer i guess it depends on the parts guy you land on... the parts department in queensway audi in toronto gets most of the things i need without even looking it up. I might be there tommorow i'll try to get a part number for the battery cover.

Queensway parts guys are really knowledgeable about any parts you need if you are going to be getting them from the dealer

k sorry it took me so long but ive been to busy to stop by the dealer anyways i was there today and it turns out audi stopped putting the battery cover in the 04 b6 the 02 and 03 had it but just buying the battery cover wont work since your car has a diffrent plastic base unfortunetly the parts guy couldn't tell me if the 02-03 base ($50) will fit your car im pretty sure it should as i dont think anything else was changed in the 04 so if you want to take a gamble its about $50 for the base and $17 for the battery cover. Didnt get part numbers but tell them to look up a 02 or 03 b6.

ECS tuning carries this part. It is under Engine Electrical. 49.11US for the tray cover and 15.61US for the battery cover.

I was working on a 2004 B6 A4 1.8T that had this same cover missing. Looks exactly like the first pic in this post. The base of the windshield plastic trim is notched and setup to accept the cover but no cover is present.

Are we saying this is normal?

I have a black, 04, A4, 1.8T Quattro. It has all of the grooves, but no covers, also.

My VW 05 Passat, 1.8T Allroad, has the covers, but costs a few grand less! Go figure!
