Why is my hand brake light flashing all the time?!
hi all,
a4 b6 2004
1.8t
110 000 km
did some research, which suggested that it could be the result of low brake fluid. after checking the level the fluid , its not the issue.
any ideas? help me its driving me loco mang
it comes on at random times but frequently

More likely to be a faulty ABS module - would need to pull codes to confirm.

It could just be a faulty parking brake dash light switch that is shorting out and triggering the light. That would be where I would start.

Had this problem with my A4 as well. Does your ABS pump come on during normal braking? Either way mine did, but I agree you should get the codes pulled but it will most definitely be your ABS module. This is a high fail item. THere are companies on the internet that rebuild them for around $300 - $400. Which is about $700 cheaper than what the dealer will sell you. Good luck!
