Where is the oil sending unit located?
Hi Guys,
I have a 2002 B6 1.8TQ. I want to hook up a oil pressure guage to check the pressure measurement, but not sure where exactly the oil pressure sending unit is located.
Specific details would be superb, pictures could be even better. Searched around with no luck...
Regards and Thanks in advance!

Don't oil pressure gauges have there own unit that screws in with the oil filter or sth like that?
The oil level unit is the thing attached to the bottom of your oil pan.

Oil pump is the the t-belt side of the pan, but johnny is correct that you want to install a fitting into the oil filter/cooler housing. It's in the centre of the block on the driver's side of your engine. There is a small heax-head plug on top that you can remove and use as a port. It's unlikely that you can fit a sender for an electrical gauge in there, so people often run a mechanical one (oil line right into the cabin to plumb into the gauge). I didn't want hot oil running through my engine bay, and I wanted to use an electrical gauge since it matched my instrument dials, so I relocated the sender with a flexible hydraulic hose.
