Was this version of the a4 truly made in Germany??

hey guys, im wondering if the audi i have is truly made in Germany, like completely manufactured and assembled in Germany, or was it made in some other manufacturing plant somewhere in mexico like VW makes some of their cars

. I just would really like to know if my 2002 audi a4 b6 3.0L was truly made in Germany?

If the VIN begins with W, then your car was manufactured in Germany. As far as I am aware, all Audi A4's have been assembled in Ingolstadt, Germany.

look at your purchase agreement, it says where your car is made and date.

post the first 3 digits on your VIN as well as the 10th digit.

ok well i checked my vin number. The first letter starts with W, so shes made in germany. Another question. I saw that the 2002 vw passat 3.0L v6 shares the exact same motor as my audi?? In my audi it has the same 3.0L v6??

the 2002 passat has a 2.8l motor..

the 2002 passat has a 2.8l motor..

even if they shared the same motor whats the big deal? VW and Audi are the same company and share a lot of parts. If the passat had a 3.0l v6 it would be detuned anyway but in any case there isnt one.
