Timing Belt /Water Pump question
My B6 05 1.8T with 25,000km 
My local independent shop advised me to look into it...
I think it is time to replace the timing belt considering it is 6 years old although it only has 25,000km do I wait until next year or simply do it and get it over with?

Since you have such low KM, I'd go by condition of the belt. Check it out for dryness and cracking - if it looks fine, I wouldn't replace it just yet. Furthermore, it's usually not the actual belts that fail, rather the water pump, rollers, or tensioner. Obviously, this means you should be sure to replace all of the parts in the timing-belt system.

Actually when I visited the shop last month he replaced all 4 Zimmerman rotors + Akebono Ceramic with an engine flush the technician did check since I asked him and showed me that it was still in very good condition indeed...
I would rather wait until next summer and replace at the same time other related components. I may however in the meantime cave in and have a stage 1 APR...

CB Garage I trust him fully... But told me at least $1100 to 1300 depending!

You could ask B M Exclusive Service (does only German, mostly BMW but he's good with VAG too), he gave me a quote of 600 to 700$ + taxes
Other shops that seem good: Rombotis, Heinz...
)

Just an update:
Heinz Garage quoted me a very reasonable $650 for a complete job
Steve however was quite shocked to learn that my car only had 25,000km and did not want to tell me not to it should anything happen; however he insisted that the manual says 100 or 120k regadless of years...since wear and tear are directly related to KM
Nonetheless he told me to drop by for a quick visual inspection
He's got a point though espcially when consulting this Maintenance Scheduel

The belt can also dry out due to its age. I'd at least have it inspected. Repair shop are able to have a look at it through some hole, without taking down lots of stuff.
