Default Thisclose to owning an Audi!

So a local dealer has an offer on the table for an 02 A4 1.8T wagon, and I'm wondering what kind of deal I'm getting.

150,000 km, $11,800 - Interior is MINT - I think the prev owner used it as a commuter, cause it looks like the passenger seats were never used.

I'm trading my 02 WRX and they are only offering a marginally good deal on the trade-in, so in wondering what the owners think of this deal?

Thanks in advance,
Dylan

Looks like a good deal assuming the exterior is OK and the engine is in good shape. You could see if there are recent service records. At that mileage you will almost certainly need to do a timing belt job ($800-$1000) assuming the previous owner didn't do it. I would also advise a transmission flush if you have a tiptronic (not expensive but hard to find shops that know how to do it since the tranny is officially 'sealed' and 'maintenance free'). So: don't buy if you are going to be broke afterwards - you should count on there being some maintenance issues cropping up.

thankfully, it comes with full service records - previous owner took it in every May and November, and water pump & timing belt were done @ 133k

Sounds like a good deal then. What dealer are you buying from if you don't mind my asking?

You may want to look into selling your WRX on your own, you may be able to get more money than the trade in but it could take longer...

World Fine Cars @ Kipling/Gardiner

I considered selling it privately (posted FS threads both here and on Toronto Subaru Club, where I'm an active member), but I was in a time crunch and couldn't afford to hold on to it for much longer.

Thanks for the feedback.

Sounds like a good deal, best of luck getting everything through.
I know someone who bought a MB E class at world fine cars and he said the experience was enjoyable, hasn't had any problems so far.

Just to be on the safe side, you might want to get an inspection from a Audi dealer and a carfax report.

Good luck
