Starting when cold...

Re: Starting when cold...
Its still not that cold so it should really effect the starting. And by the way anything has better insulation then suabru lol. But thats kind of the cool part of it, it feels like a race car, loud all around
@PwrDriftr Nice, all in all i do like the audi better. If i ever get rich i am defiantly going to have an impreza as a side car, there is nothing there that feels quite like it! Its like Mac, it does the same thng, but just feels way different and its special. I miss thouse days where as soon as i spot another WRX or STI we both flash emergency lights as a hello . Owning one is like a club thing.
We gotta start the same trend here as well!!!!

Re: Starting when cold...
lol. seat warmer setting at 6 is a pressure cooker for my nuts. 2 is more than enough for me. i leave my car on til idle drops under 2 and if i'm pushing my turbo i always let it cool down, especially if its cold outside otherwise you'll blow you're turbo. but if ure not stingy like me, turbo timer would be a good idea

Re: Starting when cold...
I'm not stingy just too poor. . I always do cooldowns now. I looked over my friends notes, he is studing for a auto mechanic an the recomebded cool down us 20 to 120 seconds. Cool down is generally done to drain oil from the turbo.
2????? I don't think I have ever seen any on my cars idle that high.... My dads corolla actually. My Audi and Subaru idle always a bit below 1 no matter the temp. .... I never seen it idle high. I know it's common in cold weather, just never happen to me. I guess I'm hot ****.

my bad, i didnt mean to say 2....i just realized how high that is, just started my car and it idles at 1200 and then lowers down to about 800. but i've also heard 120 is a good amount of time.

Re: Starting when cold...
I was gonna say, thats really bloody high. I was gonna say check IAC! Yeah his notes indicate that 120 is ideal, and its not that much. I usually just listen to a song for a bit, check whats new on forums or just reply to email or texts.

Re: Starting when cold...
Would this only be needed after a hard drive or a long drive or even going to the corner store?
