Default Squeeky noise from engine bay...I POSTED VIDEOS

Hi guys, I need some help. Everytime i start my car, i hear this squeeky noise coming from the engine bay. I searched through many forums but couldn't find the specific problem that I'm having.

I've posted two videos because I know its hard to try and picture what i'm saying

First video is with the hood open...at about 1:40 the engine rpm slows down and you can hear the squeeky noise more...and there is something also shaking in there beside the belt which I recorded. Should I be worried about that part shaking?

Second video is with the hood closed. You can still hear the squeeky noise. You can't hear it inside the car but its still annoying. Please help guys.

sorry for the inconvenience guys

ok. the thing shaking is the idler pully. Mine does not shake that much at all. Yours is probably gone. The squeeking noice sounds like its also the belt...it seems to be slipping at low RPM....the reason you hear it more at 1:40 in the video is that is the point where your RPMS drop to idle which i belive it 800. I would suggest changing your idler pully as well as the belt. Without actulay being there in person i cant tell you 100% its the belt but i can tell you the pully is shot. it could also be a bearing on one of the pullys that is shot as well. But like i said, change the ilder pully and belt and then go from there cause that has to be done regardless.

Hope that helps shead some light for you.

Thanks sonic

I'm going to go the mechanic. Would you suggest I take it to a mechanic? or an independent shop who works on audi's as well? It diesn't look hard to change the idler pulley.

Also would you or anyone else happen to know the price of this idler pulley and how much roughly labour should be?

Thanks ahead,
Myron

i have yet to have to change mine so i dont know the cost but i dont think they are overly expensive. Any shop can change your belt and pully. who ever is the cheapest you can go to. Not a difficult thing to change, just a bit of a pain in the *** to get at.
