slight engine tick

When i'm idle I get a slight clicking noise from the engine it's almost diesel sounding. Anyone else get this? I hear from credible forum members that it is somewhat normal.

What fuel system cleaners and oil or fuel treatments should I use for a 02 a4 3.0 q? Awesome Thanks a lot:confused:

Hey I don't own an Audi yet( I'm getting one) but I am a technician and what your describing sounds like lifter tick. If it goes away under acceleration its just because that lifter takes a little longer to fill with oil and it fills under the increased oil pressure of driving + more time, not a big deal by any means at this time however it will someday die because of repetition without oil, but I would just recommend an oil change and see if that helps. However I could be wrong but thats what I would assume the noise would be. Hope that helps man,
