Selling my 2002 3.0 L A4
I'm thinking of selling my 2002 3.0 L Manual A4. It has pretty much every option save the NAV system, it's Black on Black with Wood Trim, 6 Speed Manual with Sport Suspension, 17" Sport Rims and a set of Goodyear F1 All-Seasons (235 45 17) with approx. 13,000 KM on them. 6 Disc Bose CD/Cassette Sound System. Serviced only by Audi with all the scheduled maintenance performed.
What do you guys think it's worth?

Yeah i guess that would have helped, LOL.
It has 123,000 KM no accidents, in very good shape. Most people I have in the car are surprised to find out it's 7 years old.

You don't have to get it done at the dealer. Being that your from the GTA, it sounds to me like H2Sport is a pretty good bet. But the Toronto guys might want to chime in here.
I mean you don't have to get it done obviously, but its a good selling point. The audi manual calls for it to be done at 160 000kms. Usually they put those numbers on the safe side, but there is alot of paranoia on the subject since these are interference engines. Only a problem if your selling to someone privy to the subject.
Ignorance is bliss, especially for the salesman.

So that being said what do you think it's worth??
If I did go ahead and change the timing belt, do you think I would get it back in terms of sale price?

For the 3.0 it's pretty pricey. I'm going to be doing it myself So I havn't got any quotes. I think about $1500 would be about right for parts and labour. It depends on what all you get done too. There are lots of threads here on the subject of timing belts it might do you some good to do a quick search. Usually people get the water pump, front main seal, accessory belt, pulleys, tensioners, etc. done at the same time. My advice is anything that you can replace while in there, you replace.
I doubt you would get back what you put it in, seeing as this is a maintenance item.
I would ask 13-13.5k. Whether you change the timing belt or not is up to you. I wouldn't ask more for doing though.
Just my opinion, good luck!
