Rough spot during shift to third gear

Rough spot during shift to third gear
I just bought an 04 Audi 1.8t quattro 6spd. I love the car and this is my first audi. Having never drove an Audi before, I need all the help I can get. Ever since I got it, I've noticed that everytime i switch to third gear, there is a rough spot. There was another member who mentioned this earlier but no one had responded to that concern. Is this normal?

Re: Rough spot during shift to third gear
HOLY ****...thats pretty serious. I got a 3 month warranty from lubrico or something when i bought the car from the Agincourt Autohaus dealer. Maybe I should extend that warranty. I'll definately get it checked this week. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Rough spot during shift to third gear
i have one that i paid 4 grand for but they are refusing to pay, because i have a cold air intake(which is bs) i took my car to the dealer and they could never duplicate what i was talking about so they never fixed it, the problem just got worse and worse. The problem has to with the gear synchronizer. if you take to the dealership and they cannot reenact it do not leave until they do

Re: Rough spot during shift to third gear
UPDATE...took it to the dealer today. Cedebrae VW dealership. The service manager's name is Jet. Nice guy. Got one of his guys to look at the car and said they coudn't find anything extremely serious. Just that sometimes the rough spot comes because of bent/broken teeth on the third gear. Probably happened when the prev. owner had a mis-shift a few times. I asked if the lubrico warranty I bought covered it and the response was most likely not due to this issue being a wear at tear issue but he said it never hurts to try. So I'm going to call them tomorrow morning and see what they say. I'll keep you guys posted.
