Default Rapid Coolant Leak

So at some point today, my A4 B6 developed a wicked leak. At least three 8" diameter puddles have been spotted at different locations. Thing is, my coolant levels are still ok, temperature gauge reads good and the onboard computer hasn't warned me of low levels yet.

That's the good news.

The bad news, is it leaks!

First question will be 'Where is it leaking from?' Here:

Any thoughts on where this leak is coming from? Trip to Tunedub in order, I assume? This can't be good...

The strange thing is, it leaked at work. That's where it was first spotted (the puddle actually was noticed by a coworker after I left). Drove it home and parked it and got a call it might be leaking. Went and checked and there was no leak under my car after being parked for about half an hour. Went back and looked another 45 minutes or so later and there was a big puddle.

Do you use the air conditioner? Since your coolant levels are OK it might just be condensation from the air conditioning coils. If yes that's a normal side effect. Touch the fluid that's left on the ground and see what sort of texture it has.

Definitely not condensation, and definitely down some coolant today!

Checked your video - sorry that's looking bad; since it's dripping like that I'd initially suspect a loose hose clamp or something. On my 2005 A4 3.0, I had a coolant leak in the water pump area. Sorry you are going to have to drop the plastic belly shield and check all the connections in the coolant system.

I say it's your water pump. Have you had your timing belt replaced yet (with thermostat and water pump)

Water pump was replaced a while ago so I was told.

Here's the weird thing. It seems to be doing it randomly from what I can tell.

If I'm driving and pull over for a few minutes, there doesn't seem to be any sign of a leak or drip. In fact, when I got home after finding out about the leak nothing came out for a good half hour and then it started to pour out.

It seems like it only leaks after the car has been shut off for a short while. I didn't drive it all day Sunday after topping up the coolant and the levels looked relatively normal when I checked it this morning (Monday).

Thoughts?

90,000 miles, or 144,000 km depending on how you want to view it!

Sounds heat related. Things expand when hot, seals, crimps, bolts. Then things cool down and contract raising the possibility of leaking. We have Oil Purifiers here at work that leak badly until warmed up, good thing it's supposed to run all the time.
Gotta find the source, take that shield off and get it on a hoist. There is leak-stop you can put in your coolant, but it sounds like the leak is way too large.
