Default Occasional loss of power. Diagnosis?

I have had my Audi for about 13,000kms now. In that time I have had a loss of power while driving. It usually happens soon after I start the car. All I have to do is shift gears and problem solved. It has happened about 12-15 times so not all that much.

Just wondering if any of you have experienced this and what was the fix. If any.

Thanks.

Nope, no lights. Just shift gears and keep on driving.

Hmm i heard of something similar before light will flash quickly and go of even though wheels still have traction.

This also could be caused by dirty air filter and fuel pump. could be injectors or spark plugs as well. There are many things that could cause this. I recall those where the parts, not 100% on it. though

Did you get any error codes? In none of the above, then its very strange.

no lights and no error codes. Spark Plugs & air filter were replaced less than 5000kms ago. Might be the fuel filter.

Check for leaks, i had mine leak for sometime but i didnt get any power loss though. SO in my personal case i kinda would leave that out, but hell its worth a check.

Are you running the V6 Audi. Does the loss of power feel like a moment of hesitation. Hit the gas, (a moment of hesitation) and then the car goes.?

No, I have the 1.8T. It has no leaks either. Recently the gasket seals were replaced.

I hit the gas and nothing happens. Shifting gears solves the problem.

So far it is a small issue so hopefully it will stay that way.
