Help! car stutter...1move, looking your way...
well i was driving my car, ran fine. had volleyball tonight, came out(it was alot colder out) but the car started to stutter at any boost! car wont idle...
My guess is a fuel filter or pump. Its just suprising it just came out of no where. anyone else had any issues? car wont idle, and no acceleraton. Check engine light flashes only when it hesitates and then if im not on the acceleration no check engine light.
HELP

I think i found the problem...have yet to test it. I think its the coil packs. From searching on audizine it seems to be the answer.
1move, if i vag com the car when the check engine light is not on will i even get an answer? the light jsut flashes thats it.

too bad your in waterloo i dont have a vag yet but i have a decent code scanner which would give you a general idea if its coils or the cam position sensor but sounds more like coil packs since your actaully getting the motor started. And like 1move said the ecu logs everything even if you fix it you have the erase the codes delete it from the ecu.

If its the coil packs you will get a DTC code of misfire on (a specific) one of the cylinders.
easy check to confirm is to swap that coil pack with one of the others, reset the DTC's start the car for a minute and see if the DTC followed the allegedly bad pack to the new cylinder location. if it didn't, its not the coil. it could be lots of other things, including O2 sensor, MAF sensor, etc etc...

Could be a bad fuel mixture too some of the gas stations water down their crap I would fill high octane next time. Could also be the fuel filter etc. Could be anumber things and a guess and check is going to be pricy. Also check to make sure that your gas tank fill up cap is closed properly so it can pressurize
